PURPOSE:The DevSecOps leader is responsible for maturing the CI/CD pipeline across the enterprise by leading a small team of thought leading developers to establish best practices, tools, frameworks, metrics and a matrixed community to drive adoption and continuous improvement in the value stream teams.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Provide DevSecOps subject matter expertise and leadership by participating in and consulting on multiple value streams while maintaining a high-quality level of service, supporting code reviews, architectural reviews, leading value stream mapping, issue resolution and management of team and scope. Able to interact with value stream teams and cross-functional stakeholders at all levels. Provide technical leadership, mentoring and governance to the engineering teams with specific focus on DevSecOps. Empowers teams of software engineers, business analysts, and scrum masters who may be matrixed into development teams to develop scalable software solutions that deliver business value.
  • Provide leadership to value stream aligned teams on tooling, practices, frameworks and ecosystem choices around the application stack. Provide necessary guidance to the value stream teams related to DevSecOps tools, practices, frameworks. Provide guidance to QE specialists with respect to DevSecOps best practices to enable a continuous delivery pipeline. Evaluate the Software Delivery maturity of any new software vendor partner as a part of due diligence. Work closely with third parties and stakeholders to reduce risks and dependencies in order to deliver features across multiple projects and teams efficiently.
  • Research, enable, and improve DevSecOps capabilities: Research, identify and propose new tools and technologies in the area of configuration management, container orchestration and cloud native development. Plan and conduct rapid POCs to test out DevSecOps tools and frameworks. Work with the release, change and configuration mgt teams to understand the requirements and automate the process for accelerated deployments. Work with the IT security and ops team to define environments and Infra-as-service. Ensure DevSecOps best practices are understood by the integrating partners.
  • Develop staff through coaching, timely performance feedback, and assessments, and conflict management Establish performance and development plans. Ensure a constantly rising bar of technical excellence and professional growth. Manage, mentor, and coach to ensure continued growth and development to aid in achieving career goals. Ensure team members understand individual commitments as well as team and company goals. Ensures that the team(s) has the right skills and capability to deliver; addresses gaps through reskilling and/or hiring. Ensure retention of top talent and identify methods for keeping high performers engaged and growing.
  • Serve as a channel of prioritization, escalation,and marshal the appropriate resources to resolve urgent or high severity issues quickly and efficiently while minimizing the impact to customers.

SUPERVISORYRESPONSIBILITY:This position manages 15-20 people.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education Level: Bachelor's Degree inComputer Science, Information Technology, or related field OR in lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.

Experience: 5 years related professional experience and 1 year supervisory experience or demonstrated progressive leadership experience.

Licenses/Certifications:Scrum Alliance Certified Enterprise Coach Upon Hire Preferred.
