Job Category: EngineeringTime Type: Full timeMinimum Clearance Required to Start: SecretEmployee Type: RegularPercentage of Travel Required: Up to 10%Type of Travel: LocalCACI is seeking for a cleared Mechanical Engineer who will work as part of a team of Mechanical Engineers, Systems Engineers, Hardware Technicians, and Field Service Technicians, Software Engineers, Systems Administrators, Database Administrators/Architects, Network Engineers and Subject Matter Experts. The Mechanical Engineer will need to translate customer's requirement to working concepts. Brief status and demos to government and community stakeholders and provide technical recommendations. The Mechanical Engineer will be a self-starter, facilitate the whole design cycle from source and help manage vendors for required fabricated and shelf parts to assemble, testing of first article to integration and installation guide. This opportunity is based in Hanover, MD.What You'll Get to Do:- Provide mechanical engineering support to the program management team on a fast-paced, US Army Quick Reaction Capability (QRC) program.
- Work with a diverse set of contractors and customer personnel using strong interpersonal skills to contribute to the assessment, integration, testing and fielding of wide raging technologies and advanced concepts. Track, manage, and resolve technical issues.
- Apply technical expertise to address and resolve any issues in a unique, rapid, and complex operational environment.
- An active DoD Secret and TS/SCI must be able to obtainable.
- 3 years of experience in mechanical projects of medium complexity.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineer or a related technical field.
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented.
- Ability to work independently.
- Knowledge and experience using SolidWorks design environment.
- Experience conducting rapid trade studies and analysis of mechanical solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to establish effective customer relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and present effective technical presentations to management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal, problem solving, organizational and multi-tasking skills.
- Proficient in with a working knowledge of SolidWorks design environment and PDM.
- The successful candidate must be able to communicate clearly and succinctly both in writing and orally, and capable of presenting deliverables and ideas in a formal manner. The candidate will be required to work in a dynamic fast paced environment that requires team interaction and coordination of efforts across a multi-functional team.
- An active DoD TS/SCI clearance.
- Experience with Army systems.
- Experience with prototype, RDT&E, risk-reduction efforts.
- Experience with SIGINT systems.
