Expertise and Functions Demonstrates subject matter expertise in two or more of the following measurement disciplines: Radio and Microwave Frequency, Alternating & Direct Current, Time and Frequency, and Electro-Optical precision measuring equipment and systems Demonstrates knowledge of the functions, principles, theories, concepts, techniques, and methodology of metrology/calibration systems Demonstrates knowledge and mastery of qualitative and quantitative analytical techniques and evaluation methods used for the assessment and improvement of processes and/or product quality Demonstrates knowledge of the requirements found in the International Standard for Metrology and Calibration 'General Requirements for Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories' ISO 17025 Demonstrates knowledge and experience with the development of Calibration Requirements Analyses and/or Instrument Calibration Procedures Demonstrates skill in oral and written communication necessary to develop and present reports of work accomplished including Metrology Engineering Projects and related Metrology Engineering Investigations Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Qualifications Education/Training (both required and desired): Bachelor's Degree in relevant engineering or science discipline required Experience: 2+ years of professional experience in the required task area Demonstrates expertise in: Development, test, application, or in-service engineering of precision measuring, test or aviation support equipment Developing test or calibration procedures and systems Performing analysis and derivation of measurement uncertainty analysis Familiar with application of test and measuring equipment in maintenance, operations, calibration or repair environments Quality assurance, quality control, and independent verification and validation techniques Security: Must be a US citizen Ability to obtain a security clearance may be required
