OverviewBowhead seeks a Senior Lead Network Engineer for an upcoming opportunity with a PEO C3T at Aberdeen Proving Grounds (APG), MD.Incumbents are encouraged to apply.Responsibilities

Serves as working Leader to lower-grade personnel and is considered an expert for providing technical guidance and information to meet requirements.

Reviews, assists, and mentors lower-grade employees’ work for quality and accuracy of work.

Provides communications engineering expertise to PEO C3T in pursuit of technical and policy solutions to tactical enterprise and local area C5ISR challenges facing the Army’s current and future forces.

Requires technical expertise in the areas of communications network engineering, satellite communications, architecture, analysis, development, and network operations support. Position should be a SME with regard to next generation technology insertion strategies and integration planning of future C5ISR capabilities.

Provides analysis and assessments and test evaluation of potential high payoff communications capabilities in support of the PEO C3T global warfighter C5ISR support plan.

Supports the Government by performing tradeoff studies for system level designs and material acquisition of tactical communication systems implementing and testing such methodologies and devices.

Serves as an expert for providing technical guidance and information to meet requirements. Assures non-functioning network components are repaired/replaced in a timely manner through maintenance contracts.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business or related scientific or technical discipline.

A minimum of fifteen (15) years of progressively more complex experience in network design, development, and documentation.

Experience in Field Engineer support of Tactical C4ISR systems in an OCONUS region supporting units in combat operations and/or advise/assist missions is preferred.

Four (4) additional years of direct relevant technical experience may be substituted for education level (i.e. 4 ADDITIONAL years in lieu of a Bachelor's/8 ADDITIONAL years if no degree.

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.Physical Demands:

Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds

Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time

Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
