Description SAIC's National Intelligence Community (NIC) Business Unit, USG Mission and Information Technology Division, provides solutions and services supporting digital modernization programs in areas such as systems engineering, multi-cloud computing, cybersecurity, data science and analytics, artificial intelligence and machine learning, quantum computing, application development, SecDevOps, cloud network operations, and secure communications. We are seeking highly motivated Network Managers to join our team and leverage their technical expertise to oversee the design and maintenance of the Sponsor's network of specialized hardware, including high-performance computers (HPCs) and Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) servers. As the Network Manager, you will assist the Sponsor effectively execute its mission and supply customers with advanced computing resources and global networking. Your responsibilities will include the following:
  • Providing a high-level of service to a demanding workforce with specialized hardware and software needs
  • Assisting with the planning, designing, and documentation of the compute environment
  • Overseeing the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software, fault diagnosis, and restoration after faults
  • Serving as the point of contact (POC) for network and system performance, availability, and security
  • Managing, monitoring, and controlling networks, including security, fault management, configuration, performance, and accounting of computer systems, processes, and network
  • Monitoring and maintaining the integrity of data, reports, and interfaces in information technology (IT) systems
Qualifications
  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • Bachelor's Degree in Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience utilizing specialized test equipment and network analysis tools
  • 5+ years of experience in designing and/or analyzing networks, routers, switches, firewalls, and/or protocols
  • Experience in network administration
  • Up-to-date knowledge of hardware and software
  • Ability to simplify and explain technical information to technical and non-technical audience
  • Strong communications, analytical, and problem-solving skills
