Onsite role Job Description Overview: The database administrator applies senior level expertise/capabilities to support data discovery compliance efforts. The Oracle DBA will work with a team of functional resources to develop detailed and summary level queries to inform data compliance and support data analysis efforts. DBA will support data analysis efforts DBA will also deliver Basis services to client to sustain the system including maintaining database integrity, performing database routine maintenance such as UNIX and/or OS patching, table indexing, change pointers, etc., performs technical installation/upgrade, perform analysis of, document, report, escalate, triage and resolve database performance issues. Monitors and maintains database performance, monitors, maintains, and enhances database technology. Analyzes, designs, builds, and/or configures activities necessary for the initial build. Required Skills: At least Ten (10 years) experience managing enterprise Oracle databases. Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success. Functions as a technical expert. - Demonstrated analytic ability to perform SQL development, evaluate programmatic data, and propose solutions to project issues. - Familiar with Navy and/or DoD IT architectures. - These resources require privileged access and require a PAA form and an SSBI, Comptia Sec + and Linux + or RedHat RH124 Class participation certificate. Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Math, Business or other related scientific or technical discipline. An additional four (4) years of SAP BASIS or equivalent COTS experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree.• DoD active clearance required (must be clearable to T5) Primary Job Duties: - Provide database expertise and query development to faciliate compliance discovery efforts
- Provide configuration, data migration, interface data flow analysis as necessary;
- Participate in workshops, data calls, and analsys efforts to determine data compliancy per Navy guidance
- ABAP development and performance analysis, testing, issue analysis, triage, debugging, job scheduling, execution, monitoring, and issue resolution, specifically BW
- Document procedures and system changes
Preferred Skills: • Active DoD active T5 (Top Secret) clearance (must be clearable to T5) • Experience supporting data discovery or compliance efforts • Focus on customer service and responsiveness, with sound customer handling skills • Federal experience required (DoD experience preferred)
