Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a PC Technician in Annapolis, Maryland. This role is in the heart of the tech industry and involves setting up workstations and managing user setups in a Windows environment. Responsibilities: Set up workstations for new users Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specifications Develop and maintain local networks in ways that optimize performance Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems Maintain records/logs of repairs and fixes Maintain hardware and peripheral devices from project initiation to completion Collaborate with team to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems for fulfilling business objectives and processes Work with vendor support contacts to resolve technical issues within the desktop environment. Requirements Proficiency in Computer Hardware and Database management Familiarity with Dell Technologies and Linux Technologies Knowledge of EO/IR systems Experience with AB Testing and Active Directory Expertise in handling Apple Devices Understanding of Backup Technologies and Cable Installation Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues Excellent problem-solving skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and in a team Relevant certification or degree in Computer Science or related field Prior experience in a similar role would be advantageous.
