Job Title: Performance EngineerLocation: Columbia, MDJob Type: Full-time with Sparksoft

Description· Conduct performance engineering activities for an advanced software system using Apache JMeter, SoapUI, and Micro Focus Performance Center, generating custom reports to reports· Experience in conducting performance and engineering activities in a cloud-based environment· Develop Automation performance Test scripts to validate the application performance· Execute performance Tests such as load, stress, volume, and endurance tests to determine the maximum operating capacity of the application when multiple users access the system simultaneously.· Create Test Strategies and Test Plan artifacts detailing the Application Test activities, resources, infrastructure, Database(s), and Entry-Exit Criteria(s) for the Test· Observe and record application server and infrastructure metrics such as ReadIOps, DB connections, WriteIOPS, Network Traffic, Disk Space, and DB Latency, etc.· Analyze the Test results, create a performance summary report, compare the results with baselined numbers, document the findings, and list actions items for each of the different teams/individuals for the future release.· Log Defects identified during the Test in the defect management tool JIRA, schedule Defects triage meetings with the other teams, retest the defects when their status is updated for validation.· proficient in monitoring the production system using Splunk, New Relic, Amazon CloudWatch to identify the root cause and resolve the production failures· Work in the DevOps teams for Automation efforts

Requirements:· Knowledgeable of cloud architecture, networking, system administration, and security best practices· Extensive knowledge about APIs, RESTful services, and how they can be used to integrate with AWS· Hands-on experience in script development based on Java, JS, and Hp LoadRunner· Experience in performance diagnostics, capacity planning, performance tuning, performance monitoring of JVM and JBoss EAP servers on Linux and Windows environments.· Working experience with Agile software development practices.· Monitoring the resource usage monitoring for physical servers, application servers, or databases· Experience with production Monitoring, documentation, monitoring, and operational support for Enterprise-class applications· Good understanding of High Availability architecture and Disaster Recovery capabilities· Good technical knowledge of application networking, firewalls, load balancing applications, operating systems (Linux and Windows), and security· Experience with Monitoring tools like NewRelic, Splunk· No SQL experience is a plus· Deep knowledge of IaaS platform(s) - primary focus on AWS, possible Azure, Google, VMWare· Strong understanding of application deployment/configuration processesB.S. in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent work experience· Minimum of 5+ years experience in related fieldExperience working in an on-call rotation
