- The Principal VMWare Developer will be leading tasks in developing and implementing strategies for managing and supporting the VMWare infrastructure.
- The selected candidate must have previous knowledge of the VMWare tools and applications to effectively design automated tools and applications to be used by the support team.
- Develop and maintain new and existing vRealize Orchestrator workflows and actions.
- Create and manage new and existing custom forms in vRealize Automation for XaaS deployed and Day 2 actions.
- Update process documentation and user guides as needed.
- Bachelors Degree and 7 years of work experience, Masters Degree and 5 years of work experience, or 11 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
- 9 years of experience with writing code and developing scripts/tools/solutions to automate IT infrastructure management.
- 5 years of experience with VMware performing engineering and operations support in direct support of infrastructure services.
- 5 years of experience with the following Virtualization technologies: VMware ESX, NSX, vSphere 5.5/6.5, vRealize Operations.
- 5 years of experience using vRealize Automation and Orchestrator.
- 5 years of experience with networking infrastructure and protocols.
- Expertise writing new vRealize Orchestrator workflows and actions, including custom Javascript elements.
- Experience creating new custom XaaS catalog items, Day 2 actions, and custom forms in vRealize Automation.
- Experience writing code to integrate different solutions by consuming REST APIs.
- Experience with any of the Windows Operating System technologies: Windows Server and Windows Active Directory.
- VMware Certified Professional or some VMware certification
- Expertise using vRealize Operations Manager, Life Cycle Manager or Code Stream.
- Experience supporting VMwares Site Recovery Manager (SRM).
- Experience developing code that integrates with VMware NSX.
