PURPOSE:We are seeking a high energy, driven, servant leader to lead our IT Vendor relationships. The Vendor Relationship Management specialist will facilitate and maintain vendor relationships between IT and IT suppliers with focus on establishing vendor requirements, managing performance, acting as a single point of contact with supply chain vendor management, and driving vendor efficiencies across IT. This senior role is expected to be proficient in vendor relationship management, performance monitoring and IT operations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Responsible for maintaining high functioning relationship with IT Vendors.
  • Leads the creation and monitoring of Statements of Work for high priority, strategic IT Vendors.
  • Supports vendor performance cadence.
  • Tracks and actions Vendor SLA requirements and ensures consistency across the IT environment with those requirements.
  • Participates in incident management and problem resolution when vendor support is needed to resolve.
  • Participate in technology roadmap and design discussions acting as subject matter expertise on vendor viability and options.
  • Proactively works with technology owners to understand contract expiry and impacts to roadmap/timing.
  • Ensures all levels of technology leadership within the Vendor are identified and documented for escalation purposes.
  • Ensures all levels of technology POCs are identified, documented, and processes are defined well within SLAs.
  • Establishes KPIs and Executive Dashboard/cadence on vendor performance.
  • Facilitates “New Technology Forums” Bi-annually with strategic Vendors to assist in roadmap planning.
  • Identify and implement efficiencies associated with vendor management.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:Position does not have direct reports but is expected to assist in guiding and mentoring less experienced staff. May lead a team of matrixed resources.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education Level: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.

Experience:
  • 10 years of relevant process engineering experience or demonstrated ability to perform the functions at the level required
  • Strong Communication Skills at all levels
  • Expects personal performance and team performance to be nothing short of the best.
  • Technology savvy, with experience working directly with technology requirements and roadmaps.
  • Adjusts quickly to changing priorities and conditions.
  • Copes effectively with complexity and change.
  • Reaches out to peers and collaborates to establish a strong working relationship.
  • Prior experience in analytics, strategy, and third party vendor management strongly preferred
  • Strong analytical and decision making capabilities
  • Ability to build strong working relationships across organizations and cultures at all levels and lead work across multiple stakeholders under competing deadlines and shifting priorities

Preferred Qualifications:MBA, Advanced degree

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
  • Ability to motivate others and foster a culture of continuous improvement and agile execution.
  • Knowledge of process architecture methods and tools.
  • Knowledge of process roadmap techniques.
  • Knowledge of negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of business domain, processes, systems, and industry/technology trends
  • Must be able to effectively work in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing priorities, deadlines, and workloads that can be variable for long periods of time. Must be able to meet established deadlines and handle multiple customer service demands from internal and external customers, within set expectations for service excellence. Must be able to effectively communicate and provide positive customer service to every internal and external customer, including customers who may be demanding or otherwise challenging.
