As a Procurement Analyst, you will review and submit purchase requests, confirm pricing, quantities, resolve discrepancies with vendors, and make appropriate adjustments. In addition, you’ll respond to and resolve inquires and run reports for management.Work Visa sponsorship will not be provided for this role.HOW A PROCUREMENT ANALYST WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

Assist with planning, directing, and coordinating tasks needed to fulfill purchase requests

Coordinate the order request process, including order entry and enforcement of policies and procedures

Identify and contact prospective vendors to obtain price quotes and availability data, and establish status of material orders

Works with Purchasing Agents and Contracting Specialists to provide needed information and prioritization of purchase requests

Check status of purchasing requests daily and follow up with requestors and vendors

Work with invoice specialist and requestor to manage and authorize payment for completed orders

Investigate errors in shipment, payment, and contract documentation

Track the status of requisitions, contracts, and orders

Work with requestor to ensure that business justifications are sufficient for order

Maintain and monitor period of performance dates for purchased items

Save copies of packing slips in appropriate directory for future reference and request packing slips from vendors when not included with delivery

Save all requested cost estimates (quotes) in appropriate directory for future reference

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:Required Qualifications:

BS/BA (or equivalent) and five years of related experience

Minimum of two years experience assisting with full lifecycle procurement process

Proficient in MS Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, SharePoint

Knowledge of various contract vehicles

Must be able to obtain a NIH Public Trust

Ability to effectively communicate with clients and vendors

Desired Qualifications:

Must be able to translate complex technical requirements into business needs and justifications

Experience using Acquisition Management and Budget Information System (AMBIS)

Good analytical skills and attention to details
