Description of Work:

  • This position provides input into the overall methodology and conducting of usability testing and research for the customer.
  • This includes partnering closely with Designers, Service Delivery Specialists, UX Specialists, SMEs, and stakeholders to deliver impactful and focused research and analytics to the product team in support of the design process.
  • Being an expert in the areas of usability, research facilitation, persona development and research methods is essential.
Responsibilities for this position include:
  • Conduct various types of product/user research and analyze data to provide feedback around product design and direction
  • Be knowledgeable of product management framework and responsible for showcasing data to drive decision making
  • Create and facilitate deliverables including data analysis, workflow diagrams, interviews, usability testing and benchmarking to improve products
  • Continually perfect and hone research techniques based on industry best practices
  • Work with cross-functional teams in the recruitment of participants as well as key relationships with research resources
  • Collect business requirements and product needs from stakeholders
  • Facilitate product discovery sessions
  • Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical topics as well as interface with the customer on a daily basis
RequirementsBasic Qualifications: Minimum knowledge, skills, abilities needed.
  • Bachelor's degree and 7 Years of relevant work experience OR Masters degree and 5 Years of relevant work experience as a Product/UX Researcher or a minimum of 11 years related experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum of 6 years of direct product research experience based in User-Centered Methods and Product Analysis
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in designing and conducting formative usability tests in both formal and informal
  • settings
  • Minimum of 4 year of experience preparing and presenting findings and recommendations in small and large group settings
  • Minimum of 4 year of experience in leading user research sessions (such as card sorting, eye tracking, heat map generation, contextual inquiry, focus groups, etc.)
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Public Trust
Preferred Qualifications:Candidates with these skills will be given preferential consideration.
  • Experience using Qualtrics
  • Experience with Optimal Workshop products
  • Experience with Tobii/similar eyetracking tools
  • Experience with the Agile/Scrum methodology
  • Understanding of responsive design
  • Prior experience supporting government agencies
  • Understanding of Section 508 and its requirements regarding design
