- Manage all aspects of assigned projects throughout the project lifecycle to ensure they are completed on time and within scope and budget
- Define, document, and manage project scope, schedule, and budget
- Develop, maintain, and distribute standard project management artifacts (i.e., WBS, risk assessments, project charter, RACIs, communication plan, MS schedule, status reports, etc.)
- Ensure applicable project documentation is complete, current, and stored appropriately
- Develop and maintain a detailed project schedule throughout the project lifecycle
- Align project deliverables and milestones with department’s strategy and objectives
- Manage projects within the PMO framework, process, and structure
- Manage state level projects within the larger VITA procurement and project management governance processes
- Keep leadership and the PMO informed of key issues that may impact project completion, budget, or results
- Facilitate project conference calls, status meetings, planning sessions, and provide for meeting notes
- Be a consultant to customers and communicate project status throughout the project lifecycle
- Proactively identify and mitigate project risks and issues
- Manage project resources, overseeing day-to-day task execution
- Utilizing system-based project management applications, collaboration applications, and MS Office applications; Planview, SharePoint, MS Project, Google Meets, Teams, etc.
- Must have Tier1/NACI Security Clearance.
- 7 Years of Demonstrated experience in organizing, planning, and managing information technology projects ranging in size/scope with risk and complexity
- 7 Years of Demonstrated experience in project planning, establishment of critical plans, identification of risks/issues, defect tracking, and status reporting
- 7 Years of Knowledge and experience in the associated disciplines of business analysis, software development, quality control
- 7 Years of Knowledge and experience in the associated disciplines of configuration management, technical support, training, and production operations
- 7 Years of Knowledge of business process engineering methods
- Years of Excellent facilitation, collaboration, negotiation, and presentation skills
- 7 Years of Documenting and understanding customer requirements, processes, and design and programming specifications
- 7 Years of Utilizing accepted SDLC models
- 7 Years of Reading logical data models, databases and programming specifications developed from customer requirements
- 7 Years of Must be able to operate effectively in a changing environment with multiple priorities
- 7 Years of bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems or Computer Science, or equivalent experience
- Active PMP Certification from PMI
