National Military Housing and Facility Contractor is seeking qualified candidates to perform work on local military bases such as Patuxent River (PAX River) Dalghren and Indian Head. Our central workpoint/operational base will be PAX River.
Qualified Candidates MUST be able to complete the following:
Pass a Government Background Check for Base Access.
NO Prior convictions/Criminal Incidents.
NO DWU/DUI, Drug or Weapons Offenses.
Valid Drivers License and Vehicle Registration with proof of insurance.
Reliable transportation ONTO base property is required, work van/trucks are desired but not required.
Maintain a clean, presentable presence, and a commitment to performing our work clean, safe and above all with confidence.
We are seeking both Entry Level and Experienced personnel to perform routine housing unit inspection/testing as well as perform basic maintenance and repair work on residential units located ON BASE. We do not perform any private sector work.
Technicians will test operation of all electrical outlets switches, water temperature, HVAC, lighting, doors and windows, garage door safety systems, entry door lock operation.
Technicians will replace light bulbs in common residential light fixtures, screens, HVAC filters, door locks, broken cabinet doors, replace toilet seats, check for sink drain operation, caulk bathroom showers and tub enclosures. Perform basic routine carpentry tasks on a daily basis in a residential setting.
Mid-level Technicians will be capable of replacing entry doors, cabinets, vinyl siding repairs, basic drywall, trim repairs, garage door repairs.
The ideal candidate will be capable of working alone on assigned units, with occasional assistance. Basic hand tools are required for this position. Training is provided for entry level, and experienced technicians/maintenance/carpentry are encouraged and welcomed.
The position is full time 7:30-4:30 Weekdays, Saturdays are available during peak season.
Overtime is available, and is scheduled.
