Overview:Actalent has an immediate opening for a Sr BI Report Developer / Analyst at our Global Headquarters in Hanover, MD.Compensation

Salary Range: $95,000 - 105,000

Bonus potential: up to $10,500 Annually

An operating company of Allegis Group, the global leader in talent solutions, Actalent launched as a new specialized engineering and sciences talent services and workforce solutions brand in 2021.Job SummaryThe Business Intelligence & Analytics team plays a critical role in leading Actalent to data-driven decisions through actionable insights from our internal and external data. The developer/analyst is responsible for the design, development, and support of reporting and analytics solutions by leveraging advanced data and visualization tools. They should be able to execute job responsibilities independently to ensure the solutions created will drive Actalent's business strategies to positively impact consultant, client, and colleague experiences. The developer/analyst role partners with other departments to facilitate business intelligence and analytic initiatives.Essential Functions

Create compelling dashboards and reports utilizing existing BI technologies to deliver advanced analytics and reporting to our business partners; evaluate, learn, and incorporate new technologies as appropriate.

Provide use case analysis and predictive trending to assist with creating insightful visualizations that lead to action by the user.

Iteratively gather requirements from various stakeholders and users across the business and provide analysis to guide the process to develop effective solutions.

Leverage UI/UX best practices to develop solutions and facilitate self-service and easy adoption across users and departments.

Reconcile and manage data quality to resolve discrepancies and/or validate results utilizing data to identify potential transactional system issues.

Documentation of requirements, procedures, and business rules necessary to support the maintenance of reporting and analytics.

Deliver accurate and reliable work effort/time estimates and ensure work management systems are kept up to date with progress on projects and tasks.

Partner with the Allegis Group IS department to further develop Actalent's business intelligence capabilities.

This role will be expected to adopt and become proficient with future enterprise business intelligent tools.

Qualifications / Skills / Abilities

Bachelor's Degree in computer sciences, software design, engineering, information systems, related field or comparable years of experience Required

5+ years of BI development experience including data set creation from different data sources

3+ years of experience with Tableau development and SQL writing skills with strong understanding of Oracle and SQL Server relational databases

Must have a solid understanding of quality assurance processes, testing, and data process auditing capabilities

Demonstrated troubleshooting skills and must be an objective, fact-based decision maker

Experience working in an agile delivery environment preferred

Experience with data cloud services like Snowflake preferred

Experience with other BI technologies that support effective development like data warehouse models, ETL tools, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Java.

Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) a plus

Excellent interpersonal skills to work with others within the department, company, and other divisions; must be able to interact effectively with the leadership team
