Job Description

ANALYGENCE is looking for a skilled

Project Controls Analyst with government contracting experience. The Project Controls Analyst provides research and analysis of data to aid the overall goals of the project by tracking the budget, forecasting financial needs, monitoring and reporting outcome data, tracking compliance to corporate and legal regulations, and doing ad hoc data analysis. The Project Controls Analyst will provide accurate reporting of project financials to leadership and work with the Project/Program Manager(s) to ensure financials are in line with project plans. Position is located in Columbia, MD with some telework.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Planning, tracking, analyzing and reporting on multiple projects of varying size and complexity
  • Tracking the budget, forecasting financial needs, monitoring and reporting outcome data, tracking compliance to corporate and legal regulations, and doing ad hoc data analysis for projects
  • Interface collaboratively with project managers, senior technical staff, as well as other functional organizations including contracts, finance, and quality.
  • Reporting and analyzing financial and schedule data in support of project cost/schedule status.
  • Establishing Work Breakdown Structures (WBSs), Basis of Estimates (BOEs), detailed Budgets, and Earned Value methodologies.
  • Developing and maintaining estimates at completion (EACs)
  • Funding subcontracts and reconciling subcontractor invoices, travel and ODC expenditures, cash flow, profitability, unbillable, and preparing commitment/accruals to validate current project status.
  • Providing project controls support to multiple Lines of Accounting (LOAs) and projects of varying budgets driven by incremental funds.
  • Providing quality management to assist with invoicing in a timely manner

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a similar field
  • A Master's degree with a focus on corporate financial management is preferred
  • At least 6 years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated experience with planning, tracking, analyzing and reporting on multiple projects of varying size and complexity
  • Proficiency with tracking the budget, forecasting financial needs, monitoring and reporting outcome data, tracking compliance to corporate and legal regulations, and doing ad hoc data analysis for projects
  • Must be experienced with Unanet
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Superb organizational and time management abilities
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Must have demonstrated the ability to prioritize and successfully handle multiple tasks
  • Strong problem-solving and organization skills with strong attention to detail
  • Requires US citizenship and the ability to obtain a security clearance.
