To fortify our based cyber posture across public cloud and on-prem platforms, we are looking to hire a Cyber Security Threat Modeling Specialist. This role is essential in ensuring that the organization shifts left and implements security design principles. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that our systems are secure by design, with a strong emphasis on threat modeling. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, engineers, and business stakeholders, to identify and mitigate risks effectively.location: Bethesda, Marylandjob type: Contractsalary: $80 - 85 per hourwork hours: 9am to 5pmeducation: Bachelorsresponsibilities:Threat Modeling:o Conduct threat modeling exercises to identify potential security risks associated with solution architectures.o Collaborate with development teams to create security use, misuse, and abuse cases for products and applications.o Develop and maintain threat models to guide security decisions.Security by Design:o Work closely with software architects and engineers to embed security principles into the design and development process.o Ensure that security controls are integrated seamlessly into the architecture.o Lead security reviews and provide guidance on secure coding practices.Risk Assessment:o Assess risks through abuse case analysis, vulnerability hypothesis formulation, and whiteboarding exercises.o Establish baselines and evaluate the security posture against implemented controls.o Provide recommendations for risk mitigation.Infrastructure as Code:o Develop and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform, adhering to industry best practices.CI/CD Pipeline Integrations:o Implement and maintain a good security posture within CI/CD pipelines, ensuring automation of security checks.Communication:o Collaborate cross-functionally with various teams, including development, operations, and compliance.o Communicate security requirements, best practices, and risks effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.o Participate in technical and business discussions related to securityqualifications:
