GEICO is seeking a highly motivated, bold and innovative Senior Software Analyst to join their MSI Client department. . In this role, the ideal candidate should be able to multitask on reviewing assigned business processes from end-to-end and to identify and address operational and technological risks and to partner with the development teams to build meaningful software requirements, perform strategic analysis and participate in test case development(and test case review) and implement projects.

Qualifications and Responsibilities:
  • A full range of activities from leading small to mid-size projects and assisting project managers on larger more complex projects related to operational business functions.
  • Must have at least 8 years of relevant business and data analysis experience, to take on Product Ownership, Project Management, SQL experience, and Software analysis responsibilities
  • Demonstrate up-to-date expertise in Information Systems and apply this to the development, execution and improvement of action plans by providing advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices
  • Support and align efforts to meet customer and business needs and manage customer relationships and expectations by developing a communication process to keep others up-to-date on project results
  • Stay current on customer needs and strategies and communicate updates and findings by formal and informal written communication methods
  • Facilitate project meetings and presentations to all types of diverse audiences
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft office tools such as Excel, Word ,Power point and Visio
  • Partner with GEICO's internal and external application teams in gathering meaningful requirements and bring them to the development process.
  • Drive the analysis, build out, and customer adoption of SDLC software and tooling by GEICO's application development community
  • Provide training and troubleshooting support for supporting projects and issues which come from production applications
  • Lead or participate in multiple projects by completing and updating project documentation; managing project scope; adjusting schedules when necessary; determining daily priorities; ensuring efficient and on-time delivery
  • Provide and support the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes and new responsibilities of project tasks and milestones; following proper escalation paths; and managing customer and supplier relationships
  • Demonstrated fluency in business processes and process differentiation
  • Create and maintain project schedules by developing project plans and specifications, estimating time and resources, monitoring milestone completion, tracking all phases of the project lifecycle, providing timely reporting of issues that impact project progress, coordinating actions and resolving conflicts

Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field
