Duties / Responsibilities

  • Architects, develops, and implements systems, infrastructure, database, and data models to build enterprise system architectures.
  • Develops and implements plans for migrating architectures.
  • Develops technical reference models to include hardware and software standards.
  • Implements integrated software, hardware, cloud, and mobile solutions to meet HBX and related system requirements.
  • Provides direction and supervision to the IT team members in implementing coding strategies, system development processes, architectural planning, system integration testing, and implementation.
  • Demonstrates thorough knowledge of system architecture, provides innovative code development approaches and supports programming, database development, and application integration efforts.
  • Determine technical standards and specifications and lead the architecture, design, build and support of cloud platform components.
  • Provides direction and support for all system testing efforts including unit testing, load testing, end-to-end testing, validation testing, and user acceptance testing.
  • Works with developers to define, build consensus around, and implement enterprise system and application architecture to ensure performance, scalability, maintainability, extensibility, and application integration with external systems.
  • Provides guidance for the implementation of enterprise systems and applications architecture, including HBX Platforms, Mobile Applications, and AWS cloud implementations and Integrations.
  • Provide architecture recommendations for web application technologies and
  • middleware solutions.
  • Lead architecture review of applications and integrations to ensure security compliance.
  • Perform periodic reviews of cloud infrastructure and Integrations to ensure platform standards are met.
  • Provide recommendations on usage optimizations and cost reduction strategies for
  • infrastructure and product deployments.
  • Collaborate and consult with infrastructure and system operations teams to help automate the end-to-end operations of applications and systems in AWS Cloud.
  • Design, build, maintain, document, and automate technical processes and operations using AWS cloud services.
  • Develop standards and codebase to monitor and alert various cloud-based systems and applications to help ensure Service Level Agreements and other performance metrics are met.
  • Monitor systems performance, troubleshoot errors, and debug.
  • Adhere to all security, Project Management Office (PMO) change control, work management, and service delivery policies, processes, tools, and methodologies.
Minimum Qualifications
  • A minimum of eight (8) years of experience with architecting large-scale enterprise technology solutions and cloud Architecture.
  • A minimum of four (4) years of experience working with architecture, design, and implementation of systems and applications using Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • A minimum of four (4) years of experience using Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform capabilities and best practices architectures, and engineering solutions within multiple Cloud accounts and services.
  • A minimum of four (4) years of experience in setting up administrator and service accounts, troubleshooting, creating/updates, maintaining system documentation, interacting with users, and evaluating vendor products.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in design, installation, configuration, provision, and support of the Kubernetes platform, running containers, and related tools.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience working with AWS via the Command Line Interface (CLI) and management console.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in cloud automation skills and experience deploying cloud resources using Cloud Formations and/or terraform.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in the setup of high availability and Disaster Recovery (DR) environments in AWS.
  • A minimum of three (3) years with automating server configuration for security including logging, key changes, and system hardening.
  • Knowledge and experience architecting and configuring Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs).
  • Experience with managing multiple priorities and tight timelines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in recommending, designing, and implementing network security solutions, tools, and services using cloud technologies to monitor and protect cloud infrastructure.
  • A minimum of four (4) years of experience in documenting process requirements, technical design documents, and standard operating procedures.
  • A minimum of two (2) of experience in the development and implementation of vulnerability remediation strategies, configuration, and execution of vulnerability and web application scans.
  • Experience in operations for firewalls, routers, and switches and the ability to formulate access control lists (ACLs) via the Command Line Interface (CLI).
  • Experience in working with Kubernetes and Microservices tools such as Consul, Spinnaker, and Calico in an AWS environment.
  • Experience with encryption for data in transit and at rest, and familiarity with KMS.
  • Experience working with FortiGate or Cisco Firewalls.
  • Proficiency in utilizing AWS IAM and implementing AWS Organization controls.
  • AWS Cloud Solutions Architect Professional certification
  • Proficiency in utilizing AWS IAM and implementing AWS Organization controls.
  • Experience with encryption for data in transit and at rest, and familiarity with KMS.
  • Experience working with the Project Management Office (PMO) processes, policies, and procedures.
