- Identify the best method or mix of methods based on research questions, timeline, and resourcing.
- Work with different data types from various sources and perform quick but thorough data analysis to create insightful and actionable findings that have a clear, direct impact on design and product.
- Work cross-functionally with design, product management, and architecture to communicate results and advocate on behalf of our customers
- 7+ years of experience driving all stages of qualitative-leaning/mixed-methods user research in an applied setting (study design, operational execution, data analysis, synthesis, and communicating insights/recommendations).
- Demonstrated skill and creativity for selecting the right mix of research methods and analysis techniques to provide actionable insights to answer research questions and inform business goals, and the capacity to invent new methods when the right method does not exist.
- Strong strategic research skills, including verbal presentation, written communication, business and product acumen, and collaboration with stakeholders including senior leaders.
- Excellent communications skills. You are accomplished at conveying complex concepts clearly and persuasively to a variety of audiences.
- Master's degree in an applied behavioral science, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience.

- A strong portfolio demonstrating past work experience, deliverables (e.g., research plans, reports), and entrepreneurial innovation across a broad range of methods.
- End-to-end experience with all aspects of the design research lifecycle, as well as research road mapping, recruiting, moderation, and executive presentations.
- Experience working in a large and fast-paced software development environment of enterprise scale.
- Experience working through problems, troubleshooting issues independently, and driving them to closure with minimal supervision.
- Experience handling confidential information and escalating issues when appropriate.
- Organizational skills with attention to detail; the ability to juggle and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
- MA, MS, or PhD in human computer interaction, psychology, sociology, anthropology, or related discipline.
