Shop Manager and MD State Inspector

Seeking an experienced Automotive Shop Manager that is a State Inspector for our new Greenlight Autoworks location to primarily service Car Dealers, Rental Car agencies, light Fleet Vans, and minimal customer retail. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership and communication skills, a passion for great employee experiences, great service experiences, and have a laser sharp understanding of Auto shop operations. As the Automotive Shop Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily workflow & productivity, great employee & customer experiences, and driving performance while managing inventory/parts and staff effectively.

Responsibilities

Be the cultural icon, and represent the brand with charisma and integrity

Engage in daily inspection & repair operations, and ensure a high level of service

Manage part/inventory levels, including ordering, receiving, and stocking products

Manage the State Inspection process, and maintain State standards

Develop team members to enhance their skills, performance, and productivity

Monitor performance and develop/implement strategies to achieve workflow targets

Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration

Answer inquiries, coordinate scheduling, and resolve issues promptly

Use technology from multiple platforms to manage efficient shop operations

Assist in performing Vehicle Inspections and Repairs

Ability to lift with or without accommodation up to 50 pounds

Experience

Must be a State Inspector licensed in Maryland, or ability to re-test to certify asap

ASE's desired, but not required

Experience working on all makes/models using shop equipment to diagnose/repair

Experience in Auto Shop Management or a similar role within the industry

Experience in creating, maintaining, and promoting a positive work environment for employees, customers, neighboring businesses, and vendors

Experience in using recent technology for managing vehicle repairs and ordering parts

Demonstrated ability to manage people effectively, encourage growth, deliver feedback, and development among employees

Demonstrated ability to analyze needs & trends, and implement strategies to remove roadblocks to improve workflow

Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year(real money, not fluff)
