Northrop Grumman's Enterprise Services sector is seeking a Software Development Analyst. This position can be hired at the Software Development Analyst or Principal Software Development Analyst level, depending upon the applicant's years of experience and education. The qualified applicant will perform software development and maintenance tasks as a member of the Software Development team, providing system support for engineering and manufacturing execution tools (MES), including Solumina and ESI.The incumbent will interface directly with Space System business partners along with other stakeholders. He/she will participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle. These software applications will be developed in a variety of technologies, including but not limited to: Web Application Development (HTML, Java), Oracle DB, PL/SQL, Scripting Language, Reporting Skills (Crystal Report), Oracle APEX, Websphere, T omcat and Apache web servers on Linux and Windows , as well as SQL server, VB/C# on Windows. Additional responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
  • Directly supporting resolution of all software related problems within the MES production environment.
  • Gathering requirements for engineering and manufacturing software support needs from business partners
  • Performing various software engineering tasks involved in the entire SW development life cycle from requirements analysis up to software maintenance.
  • Supporting strategic planning of software tool usage through process development, automation and technology
  • Participating in routine maintenance of applications and infrastructure (apply and test patches, maintain app account/passwords, address server and application vulnerabilities, support power outages, facilities moves and other off-shift maintenance activities, etc.)
  • Supporting various enterprise initiatives and technology and data center uplifts.
This position can be performed as a level 2 (early career) or level 3 (mid-career) Software Development Analyst.

Basic Qualifications for a level 2:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other related discipline and at least 2 years of applicable experience (Appropriate combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of the degree requirement)
  • The selected candidate(s) will have proven experience with Relational databases ( Derby, Oracle , SQLServer) including packages, procedures and functions
  • Demonstrated experience as a Web application developer is required
  • Proven experience with Full stack Java development (Java, JUnit, Java EE, Swing)
  • Experienced with JaxWs, Restful services experience, SOAP services experience
  • Experience with HTML, HTML 5, CSS, JQuery, JavaScript, TypeScript, JSON
  • Experience with frameworks such as React or Angular
  • Experience with microservices and API definitions
  • Experience with modern IDE tools and testing mechanisms (Eclipse, VsCode)
  • Must have the ability to provide occasional after-hours and weekend support as needed.

  • IBM WebSphere Application Server administration
  • Web Server administration (Apache Tomcat)
  • System integration experience
  • Network Protocols (HTTP/HTTPS, FTP/FTPS, TCP/IP)

Salary Range: $71,100 USD - $138,400 USD Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
