Description:Responsibilities TA Specialists and TA Consultants (Recruiters) by reviewing information in the applicant tracking system to identify a pipeline of candidates for consideration to fill time-sensitive positions The Sourcing Specialist must also embrace and advance the university's HR mission of attracting, developing, retaining, and engaging a high-performing workforce in support of excellence in the university's mission, while promoting diversity, equity, civility, and respect TA Specialists and TA Consultants with forecasting open positions and hiring needs, understanding open position requirements, and assessing candidate success profiles Conduct the sourcing and initial screening efforts for assigned open requisitions, to support high-volume hiring performed by the Sr This may include conducting pre-screening interviews and behavioral assessment interviews with candidates Perform regular reviews of applicant data within the Success Factors applicant tracking system, to evaluate submitted resumes for minimum qualifications (education, skills and experience) and identify candidates for job prescreening efforts Manage resume flow and candidate communications to set and maintain clear expectations related to next steps within initial stages of the recruiting process Effectively transition identified candidates to the Recruiters, via system disposition codes, to enable their efficient continuation of interviewing, manager interaction and final hiring decisions TA Specialists and TA Consultants in targeted sourcing efforts, based on high-demand recruiting situations or specific hiring challenges Identify and leverage sources and internet sourcing techniques to find and engage active and passive candidates, including referrals, advertising, databases, college campuses, career fairs, networking, cold calling, search engines, job boards, social media, user groups, community agencies, workforce centers, professional associations, and other sources to build talent pipelines for current and future needs Build and sustain qualified candidate pipelines, in collaboration with Sr TA Specialists and TA Consultant’s identified recruiting needs Complete and distribute weekly reports on position vacancies, class fills, sourcing activities and applicant flow, to further support Recruiters efforts toward timely hiring outcomes Work cooperatively with all members of the Talent Acquisition team to develop and implement plans and activities Maintain accurate and well-ordered documentation on all candidates, searches, hiring manager interactions, and other recruiting activities, and accurate utilization of ATS according to standards Recommend ideas and strategies related to recruitment that will contribute to the long-range growth of the organization, implementing any new processes, fine-tuning standard processes, and staying informed of trends and innovative recruiting techniques At the direction of Recruiters or TA leadership, partner, educate and consult with hiring managers on sourcing efforts in the recruiting process, as needed Identify potential hiring challenges and obstacles and escalate that feedback to Recruiters and/or TA leadership for continued action planning Serve on TA team committees Perform other duties as assigned Please note this role is casual with the possibility of converting of progressive experience in high volume, fast-paced staffing, corporate recruiting, university recruiting, or admissions capacity JHU Equivalency Formula: 30 undergraduate degree credits (semester hours) or 18 graduate degree credits may substitute for one year of experience Additional related experience may substitute for the required education on the same basis For jobs where equivalency is permitted, up to two years of non-related college course work may be applied towards the total minimum education/experience required for the respective Special skills and knowledge Prior experience sourcing candidates from multiple markets Familiarity with Boolean techniques, contact lists, social networking sits, alumni boards, campus tools, networking events, niche industry sites, conference lists etc Prior experience building a successful sourcing and/or hiring strategy Prior experience with technology applications including applicant tracking systems and CRM tools Prior experience conducting competency/behavioral based interviews Demonstrated ability to work with little direction, prioritize workloads, multi-task and manage priorities in order to meet deadlines Excellent written and verbal communication skills Track record of performing well against talent acquisition sourcing metrics Strong customer service skills with both client and customers Flexibility in adapting to and responding quickly to changing priorities and deadlines with a high sense of urgency Familiar with employment law related to pre-employment screening, OFCCP and other regulations that impact the sourcing and hiring process The ability to maintain confidentiality and work appropriately with highly sensitive information Proficiency working with the web, databases, Microsoft Office, job boards, social media, applicant tracking systems and electronic mail Ability to work collaboratively with others, with a strong focus on achieving common goalsExperience Level:Entry LevelAbout
