Job DescriptionInsight Global is looking for a Sr. IT Technical Writer to support a large healthcare payer out of Baltimore, MD. This Sr. IT Technical Writer plays a pivotal role in ensuring customers have access to clear and comprehensive documentation that empowers them to make the most of our products and services. The Sr. IT Technical Writer is responsible for creating and maintaining technical documentation for the company's IT Department. This role involves collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and subject matter experts, to produce user-friendly and accurate documentation. This person is responsible for mentoring and providing guidance to junior writers, contributing to the overall success of the documentation team. This position will oversee the design and operation of the Document Repository to include all template design, version considerations and review schedule. The Senior IT Technical Writer will lead project requirement meetings and assign junior members of the team to projects for documentation purposes. This role will be responsible for all final sign offs on documentation and will interface with management weekly on documentation progress as well as project progress. All document type creation will be at the discretion of the Senior IT Technical Writer to include Statements of Work, Technical Diagramming, Page 2 Training Guides, Administrator Guides, etc. The Senior IT Technical Writer will be the subject matter expert on all aspects of the document lifecycle and client engagement.Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Work and communicate effectively with software engineers and product managers to write and maintain high-quality documentation

Plan, write, proof, edit, and revise state-of-the-art technical information and documents, including user manuals, configuration/installation instructions, tutorials, test plans, product specifications, and FAQs

Assess the needs of diverse target audiences, including non-technical users, system administrators, and programmers and develop documentation accordingly

Transform complex documentation into simple concepts that are easy to understand by the end-users

Solicit and evaluate the user feedback to retrieve information on documentation and use it to enhance usability

Analyze the metrics used for training and assess the customer feedback to align them with future documentation revisions and modifications
