Duties/Responsibilities:The Sr. Organizational Change Manager will focus on leading the change management activities within a structured process framework, including changes to business processes, systems, and technologies. Designing the strategic approach to managing change and support operations that fall within the domain of change management. Create and deliver strategies and plans to help employees maximize the adoption of new programs by honing methods of effective and sustainable behavior change. Evaluating the change impact and organizational readiness to limit potential risk. Conduct post-implementation reviews to assess the decisions and performance related to the change request. The Sr. Organizational Change Manager will play a key role in implementing fast and effective change across the MDH modernization efforts for non-Medicaid initiatives, ensuring best practices and standardized processes are implemented in a timely manner. This role will initially be assigned to the Electronic Health Records (EHR) project but may be assigned to additional projects within the enterprise as needed.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Lead and implement change initiatives related to business processes and technologies.
  • Drive adoption and proficiency of changes within the organization in compliance with client’s Change Management methodologies.
  • Develop project strategies and plans, including stakeholder assessment, communications, leadership alignment, organization transition, change readiness, capability transfer, and end-user training.
  • Oversee team execution in accordance with project plans, tools, and methods, and support resource planning and acquisition.
  • Develop short and long-term goals, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and objectives, and develop and execute against an annual operational plan.
  • Lead/facilitate meetings with the client to ensure an understanding of the current company culture, and jointly develop a change adoption plan.
  • Identify, analyze and prepare risk mitigation tactics.
  • Provide direct support and coaching to front-line managers and supervisors as they help their direct reports through transitions.
  • Facilitate change management activities with cross-functional team members and stakeholders to understand and ensure adoption of the Enterprise Business Transformation.
  • Create actionable deliverables for the five change management levers: communications plan, sponsor roadmap, coaching plan, training plan, resistance management plan
  • Define and measure success metrics and monitor change progress.

Experience and Skills:
  • At least five (5) years of experience in project management.
  • A solid understanding of how people go through a change and the change process.
  • Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies, and tools.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent active listening skills.
  • Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences.
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships.
  • Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal.
  • Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations.

  • Change management certification or designation desired capacity.

Education Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Information Technology, Information Management, or business, or five (5) years of comparable work experience with demonstrated experience managing formal SDLC methodologies and processes.
