CompuGain is an Information Technology and Business Consulting firm providing project-based solutions, software solutions and professional staffing services. -Position: Sr Operational Data Governance SME (2)Location: Baltimore, MD 21244/Telework (Hybrid/Occasional trips)Length: 6 Month Contract to HirePosition Description is seeking a Sr Operational Data Governance Specialist to operationalize the data governance program for the Social Security Administration in Woodlawn, MD. We are seeking individuals with a focus on implementation of a data stewardship program, development of data stewardship processes, and data quality measures.SSA has taken several steps already to meet the OMB s directives specific to Federal Data Strategy. This resource will support SSA with the following:1. Review what SSA already has in place.2. Create an integrated concept of operations for various aspects of a data governance program using Federal and commercial best practices, including the Federal Data Strategy and Federal Enterprise Architecture Framework.3. Create and execute a plan with detailed activities and deliverables for operationalizing the concept of operations that build the data governance program.Your future duties and responsibilities Establish an enterprise data governance program, including policies, practices, organizational structures, process guides, plans, etc. Implement an enterprise wide data governance framework, including a data stewardship program Facilitate the development and implementation of data architecture with an emphasis from a business perspective, including data quality standards and normalization/harmonization processes Document, assess, influence and synthesize business requirements to develop, enable and advance data governance and stewardship capabilities Define indicators of performance and quality metrics, including identification of management information for evaluating the quality of data in applications and information technology solutions Develop and deploy quality control processes dealing with the data flows in large data repositories, such as an enterprise data warehouse Maintain and promote key data governance deliverables/assets, including data policies, data standards and data management roles and decision frameworks Provide leadership and guidance to SSA management on data governance strategies and practices that strengthen SSA s business objectives and improve business outcomes Research and assess governance practices to identify gaps in current practices and determine the appropriate processes to mitigate any associated risks Suggest tools to support automating the governance processesRequired qualifications to be successful in this role Possesses a Bachelor s degree (or higher) in an IT related field plus 7+ years of relevant work experience within Data Governance/Data Management Senior level experience working in a large-scale data enterprise environment, preferably in the Federal Government, developing and implementing data governance practices Strong ability to analyze business requirements, solve problems, and model current and future state business processes and data domains/entities, including integration across multiple organizations with diverse perspectives and mission outcomes Knowledge of data related government regulatory requirements and emerging trends and issues balanced with flexibility to implement in concert with organizational culture Strong technical proficiency and demonstrated ability with data governance and management technologies such as data quality profiling tools, data catalog, and master data management Ability to accurately and completely perform project management functions such as project plan development and resource / time estimation of tasks, including identification of dependencies among activities Demonstrated consulting skills, including communication, culture change, and performance measurement design that highlights business valueThanks & Best RegardsSyed Adnan JafferTalent Acquisition SpecialistCompuGain SolutionsEmail:syed.adnan@compugain.comPhone: 703 964 3066
