- The Sr. Project Manager/Scrum Master (PM/SM) II is responsible for successfully delivering multiple projects concurrently with an agile mindset.
- The PM/SM leads and coordinates a project team’s overall performance while delivering the project’s scope on time and on budget.
- Work with stakeholders and subject matter experts to determine, define, and document project scope, milestones, work tasks, dependencies, timelines, and objectives.
- Estimate resources needed to reach objectives and manage resource deadlines in an effective and efficient manner.
- Track project costs including FTE resource utilization to track success in meeting ROI estimates.
- Develop multiple detailed project schedules and work plans.
- Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, progress, hurdles, and timelines.
- Ensure that stakeholders execute proper contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables.
- Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout the entire project execution.
- Monitor progress and adjust the plan as needed.
- Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement.
- Lead communication efforts to ensure stakeholders are having effective meetings, making timely progress, disseminating appropriate information, and training affected parties appropriately.
- Lead escalation efforts when a plan is off track.
- Produce monthly Executive dashboards report on tracked projects. Communicate challenges, missed deadlines, progress toward a goal, plan deviation or modification, and lessons learned.
- Ensure projects have appropriate documentation production assigned to the appropriate stakeholder.
- Ensure the post-mortem report includes rating the project as a success or failure and includes lessons learned.
- As priorities and schedule allow, you may be asked to be an active participant in a project.
- Contribute to implementing, anchoring, and enhancing new agile-based project management framework.
- Execute projects utilizing agile-based project management framework and standards.
- Manage the project’s overall scope, timeline, budget, resources, communications, risks, issues, key performance indicators, and change management. (both project and business)
- Manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Provide transparent and accessible tracking and reporting on the project’s status and progress.
- Other duties as assigned.
- A Bachelor's degree in the project management field from an accredited 4-year university.
- 5+ years’ experience in Agile Scrum and Kanban methodologies.
- 5+ years’ experience in Waterfall project methodology.
- 5+ years’ experience delivering IT-related projects.
- 5+ years’ experience managing projects with Version One/Agility. (Required)
- Advanced skillset with Agility project planning, reporting, and dashboard development. (Required)
- Project Management and Agile certifications, such as Project Management Professional (PMP) and Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), etc. are strongly preferred.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, with excellent time management skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong Leadership skills and ability to influence and lead while driving projects to delivery.
