Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant located in Baltimore, Maryland. This role involves critical financial tasks such as analyzing financial records, ensuring adherence to tax laws, and performing revenue analysis and reporting. Responsibilities: Analyze and resolve issues related to revenue analysis Maximize the collection of local taxes and fees, ensuring compliance with laws, program guidelines, and regulations Analyze the financial records of businesses to identify and resolve issues Issue bills and correspondence as needed, and verify adjustments to bills Perform monthly revenue analysis and maintain documentation of all revenue-related activity Assist with escalated customer calls over the phone, via email, and in person Develop new strategies to achieve revenue maximization, in line with laws, policies, programs, rules, and regulations Perform research and review financial trends and inconsistencies Use Microsoft Excel to compile, interpret data, and create reports Maintain accurate customer credit records and process customer credit applications efficiently.Requirements Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or related field Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Proven ability to analyze financial statements Experience in collections and local taxes Ability to maintain and manage financial records Problem-solving skills to effectively resolve issues Experience in revenue accounting and reporting Familiarity with preparing and analyzing monthly revenue reports Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all work Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of sensitive informatioRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
