Description:The technology team at Client is on an aggressive path to develop and implement the highest quality and richest digital experience to our customers. With that as a key objective of the enterprise, the technology team is playing a pivotal role. One of the primary strategies is to leverage emerging technologies to enable this aggressive enhancement of digital services. A key role related to this strategy and on the technology team is that of this role. In this role, you will lead the development of a DevOps, Application Administration &support team, and a QA Team that will maintain theses discipline as part of the Enterprise System/ Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). This includes coordinating with legacy divisional IT teams, SW/Applications development teams, and users. In addition to the above, a key aspect of this role includes responsibility as the principal stake-holder in the enterprise implementation of ServiceNow (ITOM, ITSM, SecOps, DevOps) capability.

The Role:
  • The SVP, Enterprise Applications, QA& DevOps is responsible for leading the launch, administration, and enhancements of client’s various technology products including in-house and COTs. The SVP will be working closely with Management teams from various departments including Mortgage, Wealth Management, Marketing, Operations, Treasury, Accounting, Compliance, Lending and Human Resources with the objective of aligning technology applications and infrastructure with each business units strategic goals and tactical objectives. This SVP will be responsible for all software deployment into the production environment application administration for all core business unit applications including Portals for digital banking. Client uses AWS, Mulesoft, Backbase, PaaS as well as other SaaS for most core systems utilizing an enterprise web service architecture. You will manage and align multiple engineering teams and disciplines (such as Web, API, Data, QA, and SDET) to achieve adherence to a common enterprise SDLC and divisional product goals.

What you will do:
  • Act as primary advocate between the business, application development, COTs vendors and IT to prioritize, acquire, implement and support business applications and technology solutions.
  • Manage the day-to-day support of 3rd party and internally developed applications, serving as the primary liaison between business units and developers or 3rd party vendors.
  • Responsible for the application Change Management framework in publicly traded, FDIC regulated environment
  • Responsible for the iterative development of ServiceNow capabilities in support of IT Operations, Service Management, Business Operations, DevOps and Portfolio Management / Life Cycle management
  • Champion the enterprise application architecture utilizing a Secure Software Development Framework (like NIST SSD or similar) aimed at guaranteeing secure applications.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with the Product, Analytics, Data Science, and Finance teams to align product and technical roadmaps and financial goals.
  • Serve as IT Liaison for project management and planning activities between departments.
  • Review and analyze existing business unit work processes. Identify and document areas of improvement for streamlined processes where technology could have an impact as a solution.
  • Support strategic planning for IT platforms, and Application Deployment and development. Examine the competition, the market, the vendors and evaluate current options. Present a synthesized vision and a phased plan that is aligned with company strategic objectives. Update plan as market conditions, company strategy, technology and other factors continue to change.
  • Oversee enterprise Quality Assurance, establishing a team that owns Application QA across divisions.
  • Prioritize all projects submitted by the divisions. Evaluate short-term requests against long-term plan.
  • Provide high-level functionality requirements, goals and success factors for each new project. Review and approve detailed functional requirements.
  • Proven leadership skills managing the IT Application Development teams.
  • Collaborate with senior developers to design software architectures, deploy frameworks, and leverage cutting-edge big data technologies and services
  • Develop and deploy SDLC best practices, guidelines, procedures, and documentation
  • Involved with interviewing and hiring decisions.
  • Prepare and deliver employee performance evaluations, goal planning, and counseling.
  • Manage, support, coach and train staff.

What you will need:
  • BA/BS degree in Business Management, Computer Science or related field; or a combination of education and experience
  • Ideally, 10+ years management experience within the IT department for a financial institution or a core financial data processing provider, or similar experience
  • 10+ years of experience with software development and software development life cycle, preferably in a regulated entity
  • 7+ years of experience managing full-cycle software deployment in a PaaS cloud and SaaS environments required.
  • 7+ years of experience with software project management and program management
  • 5+ years of experience with ServiceNow implementations; including: ITOM, ITSM, ITBM, DevOps, SecOps
  • 5+ years of experience in using AWS DevOps or similar
  • 5+ years of experience with ETL, databases, data warehousing, and data engineering
  • 5+ years of experience with quality assurance processes and practices in support of COTs and internal software development.
  • 5+ years of experience with web applications and service-oriented architecture
  • Experience with SQL, data business review
  • Fundamental understanding of the latest landscape in financial services, banking and Fentech products
  • Experience with large IT system implementations
  • Extensive experience with systems, installation, rollout, training and support
  • Strategic planning, operating and capital budget knowledge and experience required
  • Knowledge of financial/business analysis techniques
  • Knowledge of current trends and developments in Information Technology
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills with Technical/Non-Technical audiences
  • Experience supporting and developing a wide variety of business applications
  • Process Improvement experience
  • Systems planning
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
