The Systems Architect will support the Army’s Project Manager for Intelligence Systems and Analytics (IS&A) at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD.In this position, you will lead the design and development of complex systems supporting the shaping of technology strategies to ensure that systems meet current and future mission needs and objectives. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of system architecture, excellent problem-solving skills, and a proven track record of designing and implementing robust and scalable systems.Job Responsibilities:

Analyze system concepts and performance requirements.

Lead the design and development of end-to-end systems architecture, considering scalability, performance, security, and maintainability.

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective system designs.

Define and implement the organization's technology strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and industry best practices.

Evaluate emerging technologies and provide recommendations for adoption.

Oversee the integration of diverse systems and components, ensuring seamless communication and interoperability.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate systems into a cohesive and efficient architecture.

Design systems with scalability in mind, anticipating future growth and ensuring optimal performance.

Implement performance monitoring and optimization strategies.

Implement and enforce security best practices in system design and architecture.

Ensure that systems comply with relevant regulatory and compliance requirements.

Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system architecture, design decisions, and configurations.

Ensure that documentation is accessible and up-to-date for technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Work closely with development teams, infrastructure teams, and other stakeholders to ensure that system designs align with organizational goals.

Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior architects and engineers.

Establish and enforce quality assurance processes to ensure the reliability and stability of systems.

US Citizen

Must possess aTS/SCI Clearance

Minimum of fifteen (15) years of related work experience.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field.

Direct experience with specific Unified Modeling Language (UML) version 2.0 with an automated tool experience.

Experience in design, integration, configuration, and analysis of complex software systems, military electronics, computer networking, and digital and graphic display systems.

Preferred:

Department of Defense Architecture Framework version 2.0.2 experience, and experience with Department of Defense Joint and Coalition interoperability.

Experience includes working with Department of Defense System Engineering processes.

Experience with performing software validation analysis, defining, and documenting test plans and specifications required for regulatory compliance

Experience with software development, including design, testing, development, and integration.

Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently

Accurate and precise attention to detail.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Excellent analytical, quantitative, and organizational skills.

Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management.
