As a mid-level Train Control Systems Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering advanced Train Control solutions—including Solid State Interlocking and Communications-Based Train Control (CBTC)—to support the Maryland Transit Administration (MD MTA). This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge transit infrastructure projects while working alongside industry experts in a collaborative and innovative environment. Key Responsibilities:Ensure contractor compliance with processes, procedures, and contractual requirements for Train Control systems.Review Automatic Train Control (ATC) requirements, designs, test procedures, and results, providing expert feedback aligned with contract standards and industry best practices.Analyze and document test results, identify issues, and evaluate corrective actions during field testing.Investigate and resolve engineering problems in the field, offering practical solutions.Provide leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.Stay current with emerging technologies and evaluate new tools and processes to enhance system performance.Perform detailed engineering tasks, calculations, and tests under moderate supervision.Identify discrepancies in engineering results and propose effective solutions.Support project delivery within agreed budgets and schedules.
