Urgent :: Backfill- Mechanical Design Engineer :: Westminster, MD (Onsite role)

Hi,Greetings for the day!

• Independently determining and developing approaches on designs of diverse scope and complexity focusing on analysis and evaluation of multiple factors.
• Design and development of new products in an R&D environment, bid and proposal support, and production support for timely resolution of technical issues.
• Perform as a key contributor in a design and development team environment with supervision by a technical lead or Engineering Manager.
• Participation in company-wide engineering initiatives and activities, as well as provide technical input to non-engineering support staff.
• Assist in mentoring of junior engineers and interns.
• Perform other advanced engineering tasks as assigned by supervisor.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution
• 5+ years of engineering experience
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now or in the future.
• This position requires use of information or access to hardware which may be subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

• Demonstrated track record of successfully applying several of the following Engineering Principles: Statics, Dynamics, Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, Control Systems, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Vibration & Shock, and applicable analyses (FEA, CFD, etc.)
• Proficiency with SolidWorks 3D CAD
• Experience in supporting business development with timely proposal analysis
• Knowledge of technical regulations, military or industrial standards, relevant educational experience in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
• Demonstrated ability to work/lead projects effectively within a cross functional team
• Possess good oral and written communication skills as well as being comfortable in making presentations
• Have sound problem resolution, judgment and decision-making skills
