Background.  USAMMDA is the largest Department of Defense's (DoD) medical materiel development activity designed to protect and preserve the lives of Warfighters.  USAMMDA develops, modernizes, procures, and fields new drugs, vaccines, medical devices and support equipment that enhances readiness, ensuring the provision of the highest quality medical care to the DoD and maximizing survival of medical casualties on the battlefield.The Contractor will participate in the production of start-up lists and parts catalogs, and related spare parts documents, to ensure that assigned tasks are performed in compliance with military specifications and/or commercial requirements. The Contractor will collect and compile data used in start-up lists and parts catalogs, as required, along with applying proper DLA life cycle and phrase codes. The Contractor will obtain information from engineering drawings, builds of material, Engineering Change Notices, Engineering Change proposals, Engineering Orders, vendors, and other available sources. The Contractor will compile vendor code lists. The Contractor will possess basic understanding of provisioning specifications (i.e. FAR, Financial Management Regulation (FMR) and the DLA’s rules and regulations). Review for accuracy and clarity existing equipment items NSNs, photos, diagrams, illustrations for equipment, consumables, accessories, parts and other descriptive and catalog data.
