SummaryHII - Mission Technologies is currently seeking an User Experience Designer to oversee the management of web, database, and application server support for the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts. This position is focused on our web presence effort to consolidate our existing websites to a minimum number, then sustain those sites to keep them current. This position is conditional upon contract award, anticipating February 2023 start.This individual will provide user experience design support for Defender Service Office (DSO) websites and web projects, including conducting discovery sessions with clients and requirements identification; creating wireframes, storyboards, sitemaps, and screen flows; developing personas and usage scenarios; analyzing user feedback, activity, and metrics; creating prototypes; integrating appropriate branding; and conducting usability testing. All design work must follow DSO design guidelines and standards and industry best practice web design, usability, responsiveness, accessibility, and branding.Minimum Qualifications- 2 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 0 years experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years relevant experience.
- Client requirements: Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information technology, or another related field.
- Must have current HTML5/XHTML and CSS certifications.
- 3 years of experience with the following:
- Sass or other CSS processors.
- Developing responsive design websites.
- Debugging cross-browser rendering issues.
- Creating the basic structure and functionality of a site by converting comprehensive mockups and wireframes into working pages.
- Drupal site-building activities, including creating and modifying views, layouts, contexts, blocks, etc.
- Conducting usability site reviews and testing.
- Applying usability standards, responsive web design, and accessibility (508 and/or USWDS) compliance and their implementation into web design.
