Solidus is looking for an experienced Algorithm Developer with expertise in optical phenomenology, modelling and simulation to support multiple programs. This individual will develop analysis tools and algorithms to interface with sensors, data, extract data, integrate advanced algorithms, build and maintain data-based, created visualizations, and perform system studies.

The team you will be joining supports the development of advanced technologies and systems for application to sensors and interceptor missiles to be used in future surveillance, ballistic missile defense and air defense systems. The Group is currently supporting programs in the development of air and space-based visible/IR surveillance and tracking for ballistic missile defense. They are also developing and evaluating seeker and missile system technology. These programs cover a range of activities including advanced electro-optical sensors and algorithms, mission simulations and modeling, laboratory and field/flight tests, and data reduction and analysis.

Responsibilities to included but not limited to: - Support the maintenance, and development of tools to perform analysis for system studies, algorithm evaluation, and advanced concept prototyping. - Provide support within a focused and multidisciplinary team to understand missile fly-out modeling, missile design trades, optical signature modeling and performance analysis - Provide continuous support with tool and algorithm development as well as system analysis tasks in response to sponsor tasking. This may include an increased independent role in algorithm development, prototyping, and analysis

Required skills: - U.S. Citizen and an Active Secret Clearance - PhD with 3 years minimum experience, or a MS plus 5 years, or a BS with additional experience. Degrees in PhD in Electrical Eng., Mechanical Eng., Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or related areas. - MATLAB - Data analysis - Modeling and Simulation - Algorithm Development - Signal Processing Algorithms and Techniques - Must be able to work in a multidisciplinary team and meet deadlines - Strong communication skills - Ability to present findings/resumes to technical staff and management when required

Preferred skills: - Background in radar data analysis, IR sensor analysis and missile guidance and control - Radar Data Analysis - Ballistic Missile Defense Familiarity - IR sensor analysis - Missile guidance and control - Optical Technology
