SUMMARY OF POSITION

This position is ideal for an individual who is ready to develop their leadership skills in a clinical field. The Asst. Director of Clinical Services ensures that all youth and young adults in our residential programs receive quality therapeutic care. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with diverse populations in various settings (including, but not limited to, an intensive treatment residence, a specialized CSEC program, pre-independent living, and young parenting programs). The Asst. Director of Clinical Services oversees a small team of licensed clinicians.

JOB FUNCTIONS

● Ensure ongoing timely completion of clinical assessments and treatment plans; approve assessments and plans as indicated

● Ensure program implementation of treatment plans and safety plans and review treatment plans regularly to ensure residents are on track

● Ensure provision of individual, group, and family therapy consistent with each residents’ treatment plan

● Assist with the development and delivery of staff training toward the implementation of a solid, clinical treatment program

● Ensure that the clinical team establishes a leadership role by having a presence in the milieu. Role model clinical interventions with milieu staff, including working with milieu staff in the delivery of crisis intervention services as needed and spend at least 1 hour weekly on the floor training in the moment

● Supervise a team of licensed clinicians; provide formal and informal clinical supervision for program staff as needed

● Collaborate with DCF, Family Networks, school personnel, other collaterals, and community resources to discuss progress/concerns relative to youth and programs

● If a youth is not making sufficient progress, schedule and chair emergency team meetings as needed

● Facilitate weekly clinical meetings for youth services programs

● Complete all required documentation in a professional, timely manner

● Participate in clinical on-call rotation

● Consistently meet professional license requirements

● Obtain required training for organization and job position, in addition to any other training mandated by Centerboard, including multicultural awareness orientation.

● Support Programs in times of crisis

● Participate in monthly Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion affinity group

● Complete other tasks or job assignments as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Master’s degree of Social Work (or related field) required.

Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) or (LMHC) required.

Must have experience in independent provision of diagnostic assessment, individual, group, and family therapy. Required to pass initial competency evaluation as well as continued assessments of professional development and future training.
