Solidus is searching for an Associate Staff Engineer.

Join a team that specializes in advanced network and communications systems development, with a focus on mobile and airborne networks of the future. Tactical wireless networks differ from commercial wireless networks in the lack of infrastructure to support stable connectivity. They use a combination of technical analysis, modeling, simulation, emulation, prototype development, and flight tests to develop new communication systems and evaluate and predict their performance.

Successful individual will assist in the design, development, implementation, modelling, and testing of physical layer signals for transmission and the associated receiver based designs. The candidate should have sufficient knowledge of communications theory and practice in the design of receivers for wireless radios and have experience with the development of system models in MATLAB and/or Simulink modeling environments.

Requirements - ship and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance - M.S. in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis in communication systems - B.S. plus 3-5 yrs experience will be considered

Required Skills - Extensive experience with MATLAB programming - Waveform signal processing component development in C/C

Additionally Desired - Project work at the college level in modeling communication systems - Implementation experience in a software defined radio environment (e.g., JTRS SCA, GnuRadio, or similar)
