Job Title: Bench Scientist Location: Cambridge, MA Type: Contract Overview Leading pharmaceutical company looking for an experienced Bench Scientist. Ideal candidates should have a BS degree with 2-3 years or MS degree with 0-1 years of experience. Responsibilities
Explore and identify new RNA design strategies to develop circular and other RNA molecules expressing genes of interest
Drive technology innovation: design and implement molecular biology and NGS based experimental strategies to enable small scale analysis of RNAs
Proactively collaborate and coordinate cross-functional project activities including evaluation of emerging technologies
Support and RNA production and plasmid vector cloning as needed to evaluate novel designs
Demonstrate scientific curiosity, adaptable to a fast-changing technology space and excellent communication
Develop and maintain working relationships across multidisciplinary teams in BMD and other therapeutic discovery and research teams
Routinely provide updates at project meetings and proactive record-keeping
Requirements
BS with 2-3 years or MS with 0-1 years of relevant experience in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biology, Biomedical Sciences, or a related discipline
Demonstrated ability to problem-solve independently and innovate to overcome unexpected challenges as encountered in new technology development lifecycle
Hands-on experience with molecular biology techniques like qPCR/dPCR, RNA production and QC, NGS-based methods, cell culture, and molecular cloning
Experience in gene therapy, RNA therapeutics and LNP delivery is highly desired
Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to work effectively in cross functional teams
Organized, detail oriented, multi-task, and remain flexible with changing needs
Must be self-motivated and able to work under strict timelines
