Job Description

What You Do: As a member of the Business Intelligence team, you will work on a wide variety of projects across multiple products (MarketPay and Payfactors) to create actionable insight from data found within the Payscale products. These projects include partnering with internal and external stakeholders to build complicated formulas within the report writer, build Data Analytics charts and graphs, and design and build custom Tableau dashboards for client and internal use. The Business Intelligence team will also coordinate Tableau projects with our outside analytic design consultants, troubleshoot reports, dashboards, worksheets and other analytical output and develop solutions to restore functionality while documenting the newly discovered processes for the burgeoning team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with clients to design, build, and troubleshoot reports, formulas, dashboards, worksheets, and visualizations using MarketPay and Payfactors product modules and Tableau desktop, including the Pay Equity Report package.
  • Demonstrate strong consultative partnering skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure we have a high rate of responsiveness to client request tickets with high satisfaction outcomes.
  • Prepare, clean, aggregate, and standardize client data.
  • Build, document, and implement processes and procedures for the BI group, including Salesforce tracking, end-to-end project management, revenue, and metrics
  • Ensure that all reports, visualizations, and analytics are professional, scalable, and completed within the project scope and timeline. This may include client revisions.
  • Build a knowledge base library of visualizations, and research new module and Tableau functionality
  • Publish Tableau desktop reports to the product and client sites and provide training to clients on how to use the reports
  • Partner with the Business Intelligence team to build the processes, documentation, and metrics needed to support this function, profit center, and center of excellence.
  • Coordinate complex Tableau projects with the outside analytic design consultants.

Qualifications

This is a mid-level position requiring a bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of experience working with data analytics, statistics, or an analytical software product, especially Tableau and 2+ years of client consultation experience. Understanding of compensation terminology & key metrics for small to mid-sized organizations is preferred. Candidates should have strong Excel, analytical, and project management skills.
