Solidus is searching for a C Software Engineer to work with acoustic and non-acoustic sensors, undersea networks, autonomous systems, and advanced signal processing algorithms. This group performs rigorous systems analyses, develops system architectures, and builds prototypes to demonstrate the viability and effectiveness of new concepts, capabilities, and processing techniques. In addition, the group provides undersea domain and technology expertise to inform and motivate novel cross-domain concept development.

Required Skills: - U.S. Citizen and an Active Secret Clearance - B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline and at least one year of software development experience - Substantial experience developing in MATLAB, Java, C/C, and Python - Comprehensive knowledge in Object Oriented Programming - Developing, debugging, and executing software in both Linux and windows environments - Proficiency in parallel processing, multi-threaded programming, thread safety, and thread synchronization - Excellent oral and written communication skills, the ability to work well on a team and individually, and set priorities - Understanding of networking architectures and protocols - Experience with algorithm optimization for real time systems

Preferred Skills: Experience with: - Git and Apache Subversion configuration control - Eclipse IDE - Developing in C# - GUI development (Qt or GTK+) - Other IDEs (Visual Studio, for example) - Processing large volumes of data - Artificial intelligence and machine learning - Understanding of advanced linear algebra concepts
