Sanctuary Medicinals is seeking a highly competent, driven, and diligent candidate for an Extraction Technician role in our laboratory. The Extraction Technician will be responsible for all aspects of running our hydrocarbon extraction system, including: Packing and unpacking material columnsPacking and unpacking filtration mediaEnsuring the system is properly sealed and assembledEnsuring solvent tanks are filled and temperature settings are within specRunning extractions according to established SOPsMaintaining equipment as needed and ableCleaning up the extraction area at the end of each day and ensuring the system is ready to run in the morningAiding in product packaging as neededAiding in general lab cleanup as neededAiding in post-processing as needed This position is monday to friday 8am to 4:30pm. The Extraction technician will report to the Laboratory Manager. Requirements: THIS IS A PHYSICAL JOB - ability to lift and carry objects up to 50lbs, perform repetitive wrist and arm motions, and transition between squatting and standing positions consistently throughout the workday is required Strong communication skills and ability to follow detailed directions Associates degree or higher in chemistry, engineering, biology, or similar field a plus Strong working knowledge of pressurized gas behavior and thermodynamic flow is required Strong desire to work in the cannabis industry Prior hands-on laboratory experience desired Prior experience in cannabis extraction a plus Competence in algebra and basic mathematics Strong attention to detail and ability to keep clean documentation Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment a plus Ability to follow detailed instructions Ability to work both quickly and carefully Ability to run procedures using both metric and imperial measurements Ability to work on your feet the majority of the day in a fast-paced environment BENEFITS 50% discount on product Ability to earn store credit for purchases Health, Dental, Vision available Accident, Illness and Life insurance available EAP offering legal, financial and mental health counseling at no cost to you Free pizza on Wednesdays in Littleton!
