Description: What is the specific title of the position? Software Engineer Work location? Can be remote/WFH; physically located in the Hartford CT/Boston MA corridor is preferable as the other team members work out of CT039/MA008 offices. Work hours: Monday through Friday, 9am-5:30 pm ET; includes 30 Min non-billable lunch break. Please provide a summary of the project/initiative that this candidate will be working on? This individual will be working on a new application being developed that will be used in support of generating different types of letters/documents for Client customers, membership, and providers. The appiication will accept inbound requests from any number of Client systems in standardized formats, validate the request content, render the appropriate letter/communication requested, and push the rendered document to downstream applications for archival and delivery (via print/mail, email, access through a Client portal). Please describe the team the candidate will be working with? The team will be comprised of approximately 10 -12 individuals, not including our business partners. Team will be comprised of 3-4 developers ((including this position), 2 QA/QE, 1-2 Analysts, 1 -2 Product Owners/business liaisons, 1 PM/RTE, and a Delivery Lead? What are the top 5-10 responsibilities for this position (please be detailed as to what the candidate is expected to do or complete on a daily basis)? Development of a REACT UI for manual data input Development of the application logic needed to accept and validate the content of a JSON or XML input and initiate execution of a Docker container containing 3rd party vendor software Development of application code to post an output payload to downstream partners for consumption Development of logic to persist status messages from our processing to a mySQL database Development of logic to accept a status back message from downstream partners and persist content within that message to a mySQL database Detailed knowledge of Controls/Balancing/end to end transaction tracking Data / transactional reconciliation using SQL queries and the ability to author those needed queries What does the ideal candidate background look like? Healthcare Insurance background with experience in the Fulfillment arena (Letters/communications to members, providers, group benefit administrators). General familiarity with Group/Customer install processes, member enrollment, and claim adjudication is preferable. What skills/attributes are required (please be detailed as to number of years of experience for each skill)? Development experience working with the following technologies and tools: Kubernetes, Kafka, Docker, Unix, React, mySQL, Java, Javascript, IntelliJ, Jest/React testing Libraries, Spock, Github, Jenkins, Agile methodologies and processes. What skills/attributes are preferred (what will set a candidate apart)? Extensive Healthcare fulfillment experience. What will the interview process look like? Phone/Video, although depending on location and candidate preference, in person would be supported. How many rounds? No more than 2 How technical will the interviews be? The candidate will be expected to answer technical questions and/or be presented specific technical scenarios to have them address how they would resolve them.
