Chess Teacher Wanted (South End Boston)

Project Pawn is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic chess teacher for the upcoming 2025-26 school year in the South Boston area. This is a part-time position, requiring availability for 2 days per week.

Responsibilities:

Teach chess to students in grades K-2

Create engaging, age-appropriate lessons and activities

Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment

Track student progress and encourage skill development

Requirements:

Prior teaching experience with K-2 students- Doesn't have to be chess (required)

Strong knowledge of chess and ability to teach fundamentals

Excellent communication and classroom management skills

Reliable, punctual, and passionate about working with young children

Location: South Boston, MA

Schedule: 2 days per week (specific days TBD)

School year: 2025-26
