In this role, you’ll be a vital part of our team, ensuring that our facility remains welcoming and well-maintained for residents, visitors, and staff. If you enjoy variety in your work and thrive in an independent role, we’d love to meet you!Position Overview:As a Custodian Maintenance Assistant, you’ll help keep our facility running smoothly by taking charge of daily cleaning, basic maintenance, and exterior upkeep. You’ll have a variety of responsibilities, from vacuuming and trash removal to inspecting equipment and monitoring building safety. If you enjoy staying active, working with your hands, and making an impact, this role is ideal for you. Key Responsibilities:

Vacuum and clean all common areas, stairwells, and bathrooms, ensuring a welcoming environment.

Remove trash from each floor’s trash rooms and dispose of it in the basement.

Inspect elevators, check all lighting, and replace bulbs when necessary.

Maintain laundry rooms, including checking dryer lint filters weekly.

Regularly inspect boiler and elevator rooms, grease pump motors, and switch circulator pumps monthly.

Keep exterior areas neat and safe, including the parking lot, sidewalks, and gutters.

Mow the lawn weekly and shovel sidewalks during winter.

Ensure all exterior doors lock properly and turn off unnecessary lights in common and utility areas.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Previous custodial or maintenance experience is a plus but not required.

Valid Massachusetts driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.

Schedule:

16 Hours per week.

Schedule is flexible, with the exeption of at least 4 weekend hours.

Additioanl hours may be avialbe for winter snow removal.
