Data Modeler

Smithfield, RI /Boston, MA (Hybrid 1 week onsite per month)

6+ months renewable contract with no foreseen end date; potential to convert

Minimum rate starts from $60/hr W2 Only

Candidate Profile:

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

Strong Data modeling (Conceptual, Logical, Physical, 3nF, Dimensional) at both a project and enterprise level
Dimensional Modeling with experience in crafting conformed dimensions that can be used across Business Units.
Data Modeling Tool such as Power Designer, Oracle Designer or Erwin
Experience working with Data Engineering and Data Analytics teams
Understanding of principles and methodologies around Data Architecture
Ability to write SQL to query data (ideally ANSI SQL)
General understanding of Big Data technologies, techniques, and trends

The Expertise Nice to Have

Experience with Snowflake experience a plus
Experience with data governance and metadata management tools and standard methodologies a plus

Partner with project teams, vendors, support organizations, functional architects, systems specialists, and other technical resources to gather information requirements and deliver data modeling solutions for WI Business and technology functions.
Improve the overall analysis of business requirements and delivering well architected and efficient physical database designs that reduce time to market for making design decisions
Assist in developing guidelines and standards for the data modeling checklist, governance process and for cataloging and maintaining data repositories
Help to drive conformance to the WI and Enterprise data strategy
Bring industry thought leadership to WI Technology
Mentor junior data modelers.
