Description We are in search of a Development Associate to join our team based in Boston, Massachusetts. You will be an integral part of our team, with a primary focus on processing and managing gift and pledge entries, maintaining our database and ensuring the accuracy of our constituent records. This role also entails assisting in the planning and staffing of our advancement events and acting as an ambassador for our organization.Responsibilities: Process and manage gift and pledge entries promptly and accurately. Produce acknowledgment letters, tax receipts, and pledge reminders for all donations. Maintain complete and accurate paper and electronic files. Collaborate with the Business Office on gifts management, reconciliation, and audit/Form 990 preparation. Oversee employer matching gift processing activities. Manage our Raiser's Edge database, regularly refreshing and enhancing our data. Maintain accurate constituent records in coordination with Advancement colleagues and other school departments. Prepare and submit Development data and metrics for the NAIS Data and Analysis for School Leadership (DASL) survey. Conduct basic constituent research. Assist in the planning and staffing of Advancement events, including the Annual Fund Kickoff, Grandfriends Days, and Alumni Reunion. Participate in team strategic discussions and staff meetings. Act as an ambassador for our organization with all constituencies in all School settings. Requirements Must hold a Bachelor's degree or equivalent working experience in a relevant field. Proficiency in data entry is essential, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy. Excellent written communication skills, with experience in email correspondence. Familiarity with the "Raiser's Edge" fundraising software is highly desirable. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines. Excellent organizational skills with a high level of initiative. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word. Previous experience in a non-profit or fundraising environment would be advantageous. Must have legal authorization to work in the country of employment. Candidates should possess a strong commitment to ethical practices and professionalism. Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools.
