This is an excellent opportunity to join our Road Logistics team. Your Role The position of DevOps Engineer within the IS organization will be a key team member leading the design, development, troubleshooting, and debugging of software, managing cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, as well as assisting with production/ deployment support for applications, tools, cloud services, etc. Your Responsibilities

  • Participate as a software engineer to implement new APIs, websites, and applications using .NET technologies.
  • Set up, maintain, and monitor production servers, applications and infrastructure, as well as staging, testing, and development environments using AWS, Windows Operating systems.
  • Work with IS Directors, Engineers and Senior Developers to plan cloud-based hosting environments/configurations based on branch needs.
  • Coordinate with Global InfoSec teams/representatives on planning, maintenance, and assessments of hosting environments.
  • Be the first line of support for production-level issues, working with other development team members and hosting provider support teams.
  • Configure and maintain development tools such as CI/CD, environment automation, code quality, and testing tools.
  • Continual evaluation of internal and technical processes for automation opportunities.
  • Work closely with the Global InfoSec teams to ensure that production environments are hardened and monitored.
  • Participate in new business efforts by helping to estimate costs for hosting environment and production-level support, where required.
Your Skills and Experiences
  • 1-3 years of experience with Network Administration or System Administration with an introduction of pipeline management, setting up, and deploying software to cloud systems.
  • Good understanding of cloud-based hosting environments (AWS, Azure).
  • Experience maintaining Microsoft-based systems.
  • Good understanding of DNS, SSL, firewalls and networking concepts (VPC, Subnets, VPNs, etc.).
  • Able to design enterprise-level production system architectures alongside the IS team, taking into account scalability, security, and performance.
  • Experience deploying and maintaining DevOps tools related to Source Code Management, Configuration Management,
  • Continuous Integration, Contiguous Testing, Continuous Monitoring, Containerization.
  • Good foundational knowledge in IT infrastructure knowledge such as, performing backups, upgrading, and patching, performance tuning, monitoring, alerting, deployments, and disaster recovery.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues across hosting infrastructure (networking, OS, storage, etc.).
  • Proficient with automated tools, can judge what's worth automating, and loves finding ways to do so.
  • Experience using Git as version control, Continuous integration experience with Jenkins,GitLab CI/CD.
  • Understand clustering and working with servers in a clustered environment
  • Experience hardening production environments to ensure security, monitoring for intrusion attempts, and resolving issues over time. Able to work with and advise development teams on key issues
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
