LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY, NO 3RD PARTYINFRASTRUCTURE ARCHITECT WHO CAN LEAD A SMALL TEAM3-4 DAYS ONSITE/WEEKSeeking to hire a Director of IT who is well-versed in IT strategy, systems, and security challenges facing the financial industry. The Director of IT works closely with the Chief Information Officer and senior management to ensure that the co is continually. enhancing its technology environment to optimize business processes and secure data. This role reports to the co’s Chief Information Officer and works closely with the co’s senior leadership team, the internal programmers, and the Compliance team.The Director of IT maintains the co’s IT roadmap and helps to prioritize IT resources and projects to create a user-centric environment for business applications across the firm. This role operates at the forefront of the co’s growth and works proactively across all systems owners to ensure that technology initiatives are properly planned, architected, tested, and implemented. The positions offers an excellent opportunity to join a growing, values-based asset manager as a self-starter in a thought leadership position that will manage short-and long-term IT initiatives incorporating security by design.

Duties and Responsibilities Collaborate with Chief Information Officer and business-line-leaders to design, improve, and implement IT strategies and roadmaps that comply with regulatory requirements. Oversee all technology operations (e.g., network security, security systems, AD, AV) and evaluate/improve according to established goals and industry best practices. Establish and manage policies and procedures and related documentation. Coordinate and lead large and complex IT transitions and projects. Test the firm’s technology environment and practices against NIST frameworks and address gaps as appropriate. Test and monitor controls. Monitor the co’s technology spend and IT budget.

Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in MIS/IS or similar. 10+ years of proven IT leadership experience; experience in financial services strongly desired. Life-long love of technology and computers. Expert in Microsoft and Google Suite of tools. Strong networking,infrastructure, and hardware/software skillsets. Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication; comfortable meeting with and helping employees. Team-oriented style; willing to“get hands dirty”and do low-level tasks and debugging at times. Comfortable working in both Windows and Mac environments. Demonstrated experience managing and executing IT transformation initiatives in complex environments. Strong organizational and project management skills commensurate with prioritizing, managing and completing multiple projects and deadlines concurrently. Experience with information management practices, system development life cycle management, IT services management, infrastructure, and IT operations. Ability to learn and work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment. Passion for and commitment to the co’s mission and investment philosophy. Demonstration of the core values of the co in execution of duties and decision-making.
