Solidus is searching for an Electrical Engineer to be involved in the development and delivery of ground-based, air-borne and space-borne systems that employ electronic controllers, pointing and tracking systems, navigation systems, stabilization and attitude control systems, robotic and autonomous systems, and power distribution systems. The work will include design, integration, and testing applied to hardware, firmware, and software from conceptual design through fabrication, performance evaluation, and fielding.

Required Skills: - ship and active DoD Top Secret Clearance - Bachelor's degree - Analog circuit design, digital logic design, and embedded software for real-time pointing and tracking applications - Design, construction and test experience with both microprocessor and FPGA technologies for pointing and tracking gimbal applications - Experience must include real-time programming in C/C, software architecture design, hardware and software interrupt handlers and time-critical I/O - Experience with all aspects of the CAN bus, including message formats, timing, use of commercial ICs and development tools, and the use of bus analyzers for troubleshooting - Experience with the selection and application of transducers such as linear displacement transducers, angle encoders and accelerometers, including interfacing the transducer to embedded electronics - Experience with design techniques for implementing logic designs of medium complexity in FPGAs, using appropriate design and simulation environments and either VHDL or Verilog - Experience with Mentor Graphics electronic schematic capture tools - Experience with standard wiring, cabling, connector and harness systems for aerospace environments to meet Mil Std 461 EMC requirements, including safe-to-mate testing requirements - Prior work in an approved AS9100 aerospace quality environment

Must have a minimum of 15 years experience in: - General Electronics Expertise (Analog and Digital) - New Circuit Characterization and Qualification - New Circuit Debug

Must have a minimum of 10 years experience in: - Circuit Architectures and Algorithms - Electrical/Electronics - Analog, Digital, and Power - Electronic Test Equipment - Xilinx FPGA - C/C Programming - Embedded Software - FPGA Programming

Must have a minimum of 5 years experience in: - Radiation Hardened Electronics - Xilinx RFSoC experience - Regulatory & Compliance

Preferred Skills: - Familiarity with best-practices for grounding, shielding and bonding is desired - Experience with circuit design and qualification for space applications is also desirable, including NASA quality standards for EEE parts
