Description We are seeking an experienced Ellucian Colleague Programmer to join a higher ed client here in MA. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining coding for our Ellucian software systems, with a focus on providing solutions that improve the administrative and academic functionalities for higher education institutions. This role is hybrid, onsite 3 days a week South of Boston.Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain applications within the Ellucian Colleague environment
Utilize Envision programming language to customize software applications based on distinct needs
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with the Colleague system and other integrated applications (like Slate)
Collaborate with stakeholders to define system requirements and translate these into functioning software
Implement data import/export routines for integration with third-party applications
Work closely with the user community to analyze needs, recommending technological solutions that align with institutional goals
Provide technical assistance and training to end users
Requirements
A minimum of 8 years experience in working with Ellucian Colleague in a programmer or similar role
Experience with development languages, including but not limited to, Unibasic, Envision, Perl
Knowledge of Ellucian software modules like Student, Financial Aid, Finance, and HR
Familiarity with the higher education environment
Experience with other higher ed software applications like Slate is a huge plus
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines whilst maintaining high-quality work
Proven problem-solving skills
